The
40's
During the 1940s, life went to war and then begun its reconstruction (still very visible in Normandy). Glenn Miller, Django Reinhart, Boris Vian and Claude Luter were making the "caves" of St-Germain des Prés dance, The Marshall Plan launched the fight against shortages and restrictions, while initiating the "glorious 30". Camus, Sartre and de Beauvoir were changing minds. The programme of the National Council of the Resistance laid the foundations of French social protection. Optimism and the birth rate were at their highest. Live the 40's with 21st century comfort at Villa Juno.
